The New Rules of Marketing
Blogger Bio
I am an online thought leadership and viral marketing strategist. My latest book, The New Rules of Marketing is #1 in the Web Marketing, e-Commerce and PR categories on Amazon.com
Topic: The New Rules of Marketing
For decades, marketers have relied on buying expensive advertising and begging the media and analysts for coverage. We interrupted prospects with our egotistical messages, in the hopes of generating interest from buyers (who usually ignored us anyway).
The web has profoundly changed the rules. Smart marketers now communicate with buyers through content rich Web sites, blogs, YouTube videos, ebooks, and other online media that buyers actually want to consume. The products and services offered by tuned in companies resonate with people who willingly buy without being coerced.
Speak with me about how to leverage the potential that Web-based communication offers. I'll kick off with some ideas and then open it to a discussion.
To thank me for my time, ooVoo is donating $1500 in my name to the charity of my choice: the Massachusetts Air & Space Museum, of which I am a board member.

A creator of novels, short stories and screenplays, Scott's work revolves around modern science's dichotomy of simultaneously producing good and evil.
Scott reinvented book publishing when he released EarthCore as the world's first "podcast-only" novel. Released in twenty weekly episodes, EarthCore harkened back to the days of serialized radio fiction and picked up 10,000 subscribers along the way.
His next podcast novel, Ancestor , drew 30,000 listeners and saw 700,000 episodes downloaded by fans. The Ancestor buzz caused Sirius Satellite to pick up the novel, making it the first audiobook serialized on the satellite network. Combined with Scott's other two podcast novels, Infection and The Rookie, Scott's fans have downloaded over 3 million files of his fiction.
Scott's innovative use of technology puts him at the forefront of modern-day publishing, and has garnered brand-name exposure among hundreds of thousands of fiction fans and technology buffs.

J.C. Hutchins and I will be doing a fun video conference to discuss podcasting fiction (or whatever the hell else you want to dicsuss). The cool part? ooVoo is donating $1,500 to the Disabled American Veterans.
This is my preferred charity organization. I believe that we have nothing without the men and women that volunteer for our Armed Forces. Many of them die in the line of duty, yet many more are wounded while serving our contry. The conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan have produced high numbers of wounded soldiers that need assistance. I don't give a rat's ass about politics here, all I care about is that some of our men and women deserve help.
If you feel the same way, you can head over to www.dav.org and make a difference too.
